Frequently asked questions

How do I start a workout?

On Apple Watch, open Watch Your Fit and tap Program. Choose one of your programs, Free workout, or Outdoor for a walk, run or ride with GPS. Programs are created on iPhone in the Programs tab and appear on the watch automatically.

My workouts don’t appear on iPhone.

Workouts move to iPhone automatically when the watch and the phone are connected. Keep them close to each other and open the app on iPhone. Connection status is shown on iPhone in Profile → Apple Watch.

The watch shows heart rate but no zone.

Zones need your maximum heart rate. On iPhone, open Profile and set your date of birth or enter the maximum heart rate manually. Also check that the app is allowed to read heart rate: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Watch Your Fit.

How does the subscription work?

New subscribers get a free trial, then a monthly or yearly subscription. The price and trial length are shown on the subscription screen before you buy. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Without a subscription your history stays available to view, but new workouts can’t be started on the watch.

How do I cancel or restore the subscription?

Cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or in the app: Profile → Manage Subscription. To restore it on a new device, open the subscription screen and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so use the same one.

Can I import or export workout programs?

Yes, on iPhone in the Programs tab. To import, tap + → Import and paste a program as text or table cells, or choose a file: Excel, CSV, plain text or Markdown. You can also share a file from Google Sheets, Telegram or Files straight to Watch Your Fit. Before saving, the app shows what it recognized: exercises found in the catalog, similar ones to pick from, and new exercises it will create. To make a program with ChatGPT, Claude or another AI, tap Copy AI template on the import screen, add your request and paste the answer back. To export, touch and hold a program and share it as text, copy it for a spreadsheet or save a CSV file.

Where is my data? What happens if I get a new iPhone?

Your data is stored only on your Apple Watch and iPhone — we have no servers. Workouts from the watch are kept on iPhone too, and iPhone data is included in your iCloud or computer backup. Restore the new iPhone from that backup to keep your history, or use the app’s own backup file (next question).

How do I back up my history or move it to another iPhone?

On iPhone, open Profile → Backup → Save backup and save the file to Files, iCloud Drive or anywhere you like. It contains all your workouts, programs, custom exercises and profile. On the new iPhone or after reinstalling the app, open Profile → Restore from backup and choose the file. Then open the app on Apple Watch — recent workouts return to the watch automatically.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app from Apple Watch and iPhone. Workouts saved to Health remain there; delete them in the Health app: your profile → Apps → Watch Your Fit. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel the subscription. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
